| Hairnet.
The UKs first internet training scheme for the over 50s. Now well established,
Hairnet offers a variety of training including training in your own home.
It also provides
useful links to education resources on the web. Also organises annual silver surfers day. To see the power of the web, browse the UK webcameras site which lists
and provides links to over 400 UK web cameras. Did you know that most UK towns and cities
now have webcams. You can view live pictures from London to Loch Ness!
Everyone has their own favourite search engine, with many people
favouring Google. You can use the UK version of Google at www.google.co.uk. As well as Google we like Askjeeves
(link and search box below) but a useful site for seeing what is available by way of
search engines, directories, meta search engines and geographic and subject search engines
is available on the University of
Wolverhampton web site.

you, or that you would like to know about using the web or any aspect of IT, you
