Unique hand-crafted goods.
 To
me, and to nearly everyone on this planet, wood is an essential
part of our lives. It is versatile in as much as it can be
strong without being brittle and with some can be flexible, also
very decorative. There are thousands of types of wood throughout
the world, most of which the average person has never heard of.
 Now
a little about myself - most of my working life was spent in the
building trade as a carpenter. In my spare time I have made
cabinets, built fitted wardrobes, tables etc etc, the list is
endless. For twenty odd years, as a hobby I did woodcarving,
several pieces were exhibited at the National Woodworkers Show.
 Once
I retired I bought a lathe and had lessons with Chris Child, and
I am now well and truly hooked on woodturning! I spend most of
my retirement time on my lathe turning out bowls, platters,
vases, pens etc, all unique and individual, which I sell at
craft fairs, exhibitions etc. I am also able to undertake
commissions which of course take careful planning between the
customer and myself.
